Queensland’s New Regulations for Solar and Wind Farm Projects
Queensland has introduced new regulations for solar and wind farm projects in 2025, requiring all large-scale developments to undergo impact assessments, public consultations, and social impact evaluations. The changes include mandatory community benefit agreements and strict compliance with State Codes 23 and 26. Aimed at ensuring transparency and local input, the new rules balance clean energy growth with environmental protection and community well-being across regional Queensland.
